This week in the LC third grade students continued working to publish their Titanic writing, and Mrs. Rountree’s classes began working on their cell projects in the makerspace. Additionally, we continued whole group and small group checkouts and December holiday stories with our primary grades. Also, first grade went on their public library field trip to the West Cobb Regional Library this week. Second through fifth grade students will be going in January!

This week in the learning commons we continued with whole group and small group checkout. Also, the makerspace was VERY busy this week. Don’t forget tomorrow (Friday) is makerspace clean-out day! Please come claim your in-progress projects!

This week whole group and small group checkout continued. Kindergarten students worked with Mrs. Sherman to film their bad eagle projects using the green screen, and 5th grade students started their work on a choice board in the makerspace for their rainforest unit. Additionally, some second grade classes started to create American Indian artifacts!

In the makerspace this week, we celebrated International Games Week from the American Library Association! Students had the option to play checkers, scrabble, or uno as well as design their own video game!
