Happy 1st day of Spring! We just finished our unit on weather and what crazy weather we have had! The children enjoyed learning about the different types of weather and how to dress for it. They even got to splash in puddles!
Our next unit begins with the book Clothesline Clues to Jobs People Do by Kathryn Heling and Deborah Hembrook. This fun book allows children to guess what job each community helper does by looking at the different parts of the uniform hanging on the clothesline. Students will enjoy rhyming text and cute illustrations. We will have lots of fun exploring all of the different job opportunities available. Mrs. Grimmer’s class will focus on this story for two weeks. Mrs. Lewis’ class will move on to All Through My Town by Jean Reidy. This book continues the community helper theme by taking a walk through the town meeting all kinds of different community helpers.
We will focus on the letters “N,” and “I.” We will continue to focus on the color blue and the shape ◊.
