 *Unless noted otherwise, students should have these assignments completed by August 1, 2019. If you are asked to purchase a book, that book will be used during the semester and does not need to be read by August 1st.

Humanities & Honors Humanities- No summer reading assignment.

AP Human Geography– Students need to purchase the AMSCO AP Human Geography book and bring it to school on the first day of class.

AP Psychology- Purchase Forty Studies that Change Psychology 6th Edition or Later (this version is cheapest on Amazon, you can also get an e-book rental for the semester) ISBN: 978-0-13-603599-2 and bring it to school on the first day of class.

World History & Honors World History– No summer reading assignment.

AP World HistoryRead A History of the World in 6 Glasses by Tom Standage. Purchase (pre-order now for delivery in September) AMSCO Advanced Placement World History: Modern Review Book (will be used as our main textbook).

US History– No summer assignment

Honors US HistoryPurchase either In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick OR The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America by Erik Larson. Bring your selected book to class on the first day of school.

AP US HistoryRead Seven Events that Made America America: And Proved that the Founding Fathers Were Right All Along by Larry Schweikart. Purchase:  A People’s History of the United States by Howard Zinn & the AMSCO Advanced Placement US History Review Book (will be used as our main textbook).
