August3

Church Website Welcome Message Example

Get ready for an amazing year!  I am so excited to welcome you to 5th grade.  This is going to be a year unlike any year before.  Not only are you the oldest and wisest, you also get to do it online!!  We will be meeting everyday in live sessions where we will teach and learn together as well as having time every day to work independently and in small groups or one-on-one with the teacher or other students.

This is a new experience for all of us.  We must remember to be patient and work together to make it the best experience possible.

WUNC's My Teacher Series Wants To Hear Your Story | WUNC

I am Mrs. Page Gillett.  This is my 21st year teaching.  I have taught 4th and 5th grade, but 5th grade is where I have spent the majority of my time.  I am also Gifted Certified which is why I was chosen to teach the AC 5th grade class.   My passion is children and teaching, but I also have a love of reading. gardening, and crafts.  I am a wife and a mother.  I have a 16 year old daughter who is a junior at Pope High School as well as one cat and one dog.

I believe that the most important thing in a class is the relationships that are built between the teacher and the students as well as between students and other students.  That means that I encourage interaction and discussion throughout the day.  This will be a little harder to accomplish in the digital classroom, but I am busy finding ways to make sure that we have lots of time for collaboration, cooperation, and teamwork to make sure that you are building social and communication skills as well as learning the required academic information.

The best way to contact me is through email at page.gillett@cobbk12.org.  I will have office hours between 12:00 and 12:30 every day to make sure I am available for student and parent questions.

Please subscribe to this blog by placing your email in the white box on the bottom right, and you will get an email when it gets updated.  Most information will be through CTLS, but the blog is a good place to look back for information as well.

Series: What Next? - Bulldog Catholic

Once you have been assigned to my class, you will be able to access the information you need to see our online digital classroom.  Most of you will have me for all subject areas, but a few of you will have Mr. Bridges for math.  You will be able to log in to CTLS Learn and see the classes you will be taking this year.  They will be ELA (Reading and Writing), Math, Science, Social Studies, STEM, Art, Technology, PE, Music, and Counseling.  Target will start on Friday, August 28.  You will be getting information about your Target teacher before then.

You are expected to be logged in to CTLS Learn a little before 8:00 every day except Wednesday (see schedule below).

Supply List 2019-2020 - Washington Wilkes Primary School

The school supply list is much shorter for virtual learning.  Please make sure you have the materials to start the school year.  I WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE 4 COMPOSITION NOTEBOOKS INSTEAD OF 3.  If you can’t find a white board, I can provide you with one when you pick up your textbooks.  We will schedule a time for textbook pickup as soon as possible.

Trisha Elmer - Indian Lane Elementary School

We will have live online sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Wednesday will be used for independent study and for me to schedule small groups for needed areas of teaching or review.  Our Target day will begin in a couple weeks, but I do not know which day it will be yet.
