GMS Drone Club

The Griffin Middle School Drone club was established in the 2016-2017 school year. Funded by the gracious donation of the  Griffin Middle School PTSA,  6 students  competed in the G3 Drones for Good  Competition.

The G3 Drones For Good is an exciting STEM competition involving drones for middle school students.   The GMS Drone Club worked  their teacher to develop an innovative drone-based solution to a problem in their community, state, or the world. They built a Drone that competed in three flying challenges. The GMS Drones Club students.  developed  research, problem-solving, and communication skills while designing, building, and flying their own drones.

While we did not place at the  competition,  we were the only Team  to  take out an entire table of water bottles  and materials.  We experienced a multitude of red flags. It was a very proud moment  for our GMS Drone Team.

The GMS Drone Team’s goal is to  place 1st, 2nd or 3rd during the 2017-2018 Competition.
