Adding and Subtracting Scientific Notation

Remember, we have to match the power of 10 in order to add and subtract the significant digits.

We will have a test on Thursday, November 9 for all Scientific Notation operations .

### Week of 10/30 to 11/3

Then later week, we will study Dividing and Multiplying Scientific Notation.

### Week of 10/30 to 11/3/17

This week, we will study Scientific Notation.

Monday and Tuesday: Converting Standard numbers to Scientific Notation and Vise Versa.

### Week of 10/23 – 10/27/17

This week, we will study about Negative Exponents and more complicated problems with integers.

On Thursday, we will have a station rotation to review the exponents. We will have a test over exponential expression on Friday.

### Week of 10/16/17 – Conference Week

This week, we will study properties of exponents.

Tuesday 10/17 – Multiplying properties of exponents

Wednesday 10/18 – Dividing properties of exponents

Thursday 10/19 – Power to Power of properties of exponents

Friday 10/20 – Summative assessment on multiplying, dividing and power to power of properties of exponents.

### 10/10/17

Today, we learn how to estimate square roots which are not perfect.

Homework: Estimate Square Roots of 35, 150 and 235.

### 10/09/17

Today is a LEAP day – Math with Literacy

We discussed about Square Roots and Cube Roots.

Homework: complete Rational vs. Irrational numbers chart.

### 10/6/17

Today, we study more about Rational vs Irrational numbers, then take a summative test.

This is going to be a final grade for this 9 weeks.

We will begin studying exponents next week.

### 10/5/17

Today, we continue to study Rational and Irrational numbers. We learned rational and irrational problems involving real life situations.

We will take a summative assessment on Rational and Irrational numbers, tomorrow.

STUDY!
