  2. Use” Creating Suspense” PPT with video clips and Student notes to intro techniques to build suspense

  2. Mini lesson: Quote inclusion with PPT and handout & review “10 Commandments of Writing” handout

 

Tuesday:

  2. Mini lesson: Diction, avoiding dead words and adding SAT and/or Alas, Babylon vocab words using PPT & handout
  3. Continue composing Lit analysis essay

 

Wednesday: 

  1. 45 minutes to finish first draft
  2. Peer edit using Revise/edit/rubric sheet
  3. Self-edit using 10 Commandment of Writing and edit/revise/rubric sheet
  4. Peer edit: (students must make comments on peer first draft)

 

Thursday:

  2. Finish revising and editing AB essay
  • Turn in with Rubric (100 pts. to writing standard)
  • Turn in first draft, pre-writing, outline and Revise/edit check list (60 pts. writing standard)
