PLEASE make sure you are annotating the outline (with purpose) however it works for you and that you are reviewing and taking focused notes on the chapter objectives and people/places/things on the stuff sheet after you read to confirm chapter concepts and details.

APUSH ICYMI 8/19 & 8/20

Today you took the Chapter 5 “Colonial Society on the Eve of Revolution” reading Check quiz. The class averages were far better that Chapter 4 (2A=80%, 4A=80, 2B=81%, 4B=86%)

You also received the Chapter 5 homework for which you were given approximately 75 minutes to on it in class (all the time after the quiz, basically). This homework, as usual, is due before 1st Block starts on 8/21 & 8/22.

If you were absent, as usual, e-mail me to have the assignment sent to you electronically.

This is how students will login from a) a BYOD device at school, or b) from home.

1)      Students will click on the McGraw Hill link you provide via your blog, website, etc. (See link above)

2)      They will be prompted to login.

3)      They can login one of two ways:

  1. Office 365 login: If the student does not know their Office 365 email address, have them login to StudentVue to access it, or a parent can access it through ParentVue and help their child with it.
  2. Student ID: They would need to include SCH/ in front of their student ID as their username and then their school computer password (i.e. SCH/1234567 and then password used to login to the computer at school).

Today we discussed and graded the Chapter 4 homework packet that was assigned 8/13 & 8/14.

When that was completed, you were given the Chapter 5 “Colonial Society on the Eve of Revolution” reading assignment as well as receiving the overview, stuff, and outline for the chapter. The reading needs to be completed by 8/19 & 8/20.

You began with a reading check quiz for Chapter 4 “Colonial Society in the Seventeenth Century”.

ICYMI 8/9-8/12

8/9 & 8/12 – We discussed and “mock” graded the Chapter 3 homework assignment. Generally the scores were pretty good. most often points were lost by simply not following instructions on the chronology portion. You guys did a great job turning the assignments in as prescribed, before 1st block. Only a few of you forgot.
