Monday: DBQ- Though hurricanes can be devastating natural disasters, how has technology greatly improved the impacts on citizens? Finish analyzing background research on time, place, and story. Begin to analyze primary documents to support this thesis question.
Tuesday DBQ- Using our bucket and chicken foot strategies, we will begin to pull together our primary and secondary source evidence to formulate an informational essay outline.
Wednesday DBQ- Students will complete a rough draft of a 5 paragraph essay with evidence quoted and cited from sources. HW: study your political and physical map features
Thursday DBQ- MAP QUIZ! Students will complete a final draft of their document based question.
Friday: Overview of Climate, Location, and Resources of Latin America.
Monday: Review Day! Check your answers on your COMPLETED Study Guide. We should have answered chunks of 6 questions a night last week. Milestones Book Review for a practice test/classwork grade. HW: Review your corrected study guide.
Monday: Finish political map with capitals and physical features map for classwork. HW: Milestones book p. 140-147.
Tuesday: CHANGE IN PLANS!!! Geobee qualifying round (10 min). Where do peope live in Australia? Climate, location, natural resources. HW: Milestones 148-151. **All milestones work will be graded next Monday! **
Wednesday: check maps HW. Intro to Economics- 4 economic systems PPT and 4 square chart. HW: Milestones Book p. 154-157.
Thursday: 4 Factors influencing economic systems: capital goods, natural resources, human capital, etc. PPT and organizer. CW-Milestones 158-162. HW: Study for your map quiz!!! Know your states, physical features, capital and cities with largest population density.
Friday: Map quiz. Trade Barriers of Europe and Australia! AC enrichment activity.

Tuesday: Intro to Australia PPT(physical and political regions) and graphic organizer.
Wednesday and Thursday: During your snow days, if you have your Milestones book please complete the following: Milestone Book pages 154-156. Also, please complete your 4 square notes on physical features using the Australia intro PPT. You should also be able to finish the physical features map from this PPT. Each land feature should be marked with a symbol or color in a key you create on your paper. This work will become work over the weekend if you do not have access to it during snow days.
