  Social Studies: We turned in our Real Estate Advertisement and began our work on the environmental issues of the countries we are studying. Today we investigated the issue of Acid Rain at this site.

Finishing the web quest by Friday is homework. Test next Wednesday 9/19

Science: Today I returned the quizzes on the solar system (average 85.7) and made corrections to it.  We checked the first page of the study guide and started on a lab about the gravitational pull on different planets.

Tonight the second page of the study guide should be completed for homework and the planetary map.

  Social Studies: We discussed September 11th and the ways air travel has changed since that day in our warm up. We continued work a Real Estate Advertisement for the country of their choice. The finished project is due tomorrow.

Science: Today we took the quiz on the solar system and started working on the Planetary Map which is due on Thursday.

Students have a study guide to help them prepare for Friday’s test. It will be turned in on Friday. Tonight the first page should be completed for homework.

Social Studies: Today was the quizzes on the 3 countries we have compared were returned. The average score was an 80 and most students did better than on their last quiz.  We continued work a Real Estate Advertisement for the country of their choice. If the draft page was not completed in class that is homework. Tomorrow we will work on the finished project.

Science: We finished and discussed Gravity Lab 1 and then went outside to do Lab 2. If the lab 2 questions were not completed in class, they are homework.

Students have a study guide to help them prepare for Friday‚Äôs test. It will be due on Friday but I wouldn’t wait until the last minute to complete it as you also need to study it.

Quiz tomorrow and test Friday on the solar system- Lessons 3-6 of Unit 1 in the textbook. For the quiz you will be able to use your planet data charts. If you hurriedly completed these charts you may need to go back and add more data to your chart. For example, do you have information about  the atmosphere of Mars? The gasses of Jupiter? The composition of the rings of Saturn? The unusual axis of Uranus?  If not, revisit the PowerPoints linked on the blog a few days ago and add more info. 

This quizlet is really for test preparation (all of this will not be on the quiz) but you could start using it to study tonight if you prefer to study this way.

Social Studies: Today was the quiz on the 3 countries we have compared. We used this link to take the quiz on Google Forms. After the quiz students began a Real Estate Advertisement for the country of their choice. The vocabulary page called Tic Tac Know was also turned in today. No homework.

Science: We continued reading about gravity and how it affects the solar system in lesson 3 of unit 1. We also did a worksheet on Gravity and Inertia and the first lab about gravity.
