Today students took the Unit 6 Test. If students did not finish, they will be given time to finish on Monday.

**Homework: None, except to work on Weekly Skills 28 / Math Minutes due Tuesday March 19th **

Today students took the Unit 6 Test. If students did not finish, they will be given time to finish on Monday.

**Homework: None, except to work on Weekly Skills 28 / Math Minutes due Tuesday March 19th **

Today students worked with partners to complete a BYOD Unit 6 review activity.

They were provided a copy of the study guide to check their answers for accuracy against the answer key provided in order to study for tomorrow’s test.

Topics you should know for tomorrow’s test:

- Scatter Plots
- Qualitative Graphs
- 2 Way Tables
- How to Interpret Rate of Change and Initial Value from Words, Tables, and Graphs and Equations

**Homework: Review the Unit 6 Packet and Study Guide**

**Unit 6 Test tomorrow**

**Weekly Skills 28 / Math Minutes due Tuesday March 19th**

It was an early dismissal day, so classes were shortened.

Today students completed the Unit 6 Almost There Test in order to prepare for the Unit 6 Test on Friday.

Topics you should know:

- Scatter Plots
- Qualitative Graphs
- 2 Way Tables
- How to Interpret Rate of Change and Initial Value from Words, Tables, and Graphs and Equations

**Homework: Complete the last page of the Unit 6 Study Guide, page 30**

**Unit 6 Test Friday**

**Weekly Skills 28 / Math Minutes due Tuesday March 19th**

Today students turned in their Weekly Skills 27 / Math Minutes and received their new ones (which will be due March 19)

Next we work the problems on pages 27-29 of the Unit 6 study guide together.

**Homework: finish page 30 of the Unit 6 Study Guide**

**Unit 6 Test is Friday!**

**Remember it’s an early dismissal tomorrow at 1:30 pm!**

Today students completed a review of qualitative graphs, scatter plots, and two-way tables before taking the Unit 6 quiz.

Remember Weekly Skills 26 /Math Minutes are due tomorrow!

**Homework: begin the Unit 6 Study Guide (do the problems on pg 27)**

**Unit 6 Test Friday**

Today we checked the 2 way table homework.

Then we reviewed for Monday’s quiz by completing pg 26 in the packet.

For the quiz students should know:

- Qualitative graphs- no numbers, x axis is always time
- Scatter Plots- never connect the points, the 3 types of correclations, and how to use a line of best fit to interpret the data and make conjectures
- Two-way Tables- how to read them and compute relative frequencies from rows or columns to interpret the data

**Homework: none, unless you need to finish weekly skills 27 or your math minutes (due Tuesday)**

**Quiz Monday**

**Test Friday! **

Today we checked the homework from last night about Lines of Best Fit

Then we learned about 2 Way Tables and Relative Frequency.

Remember you can find relative frequency by ROW or by COLUMN

**Homework: finish page 25 of the Unit 6 packet**

**Quiz Monday**

**Weekly Skills 27/Math Minutes due Tuesday**

**Test Friday**

Today we checked the homework from page 18 (scatter plots)

Next we learned about how the Line of Best Fit represents the “average” of all the points on a scatter plot and how it can be used to make a conjecture (educated guess/prediction) based on the data. See the example:

**Homework: pg 21 (problems 2 and 3)**

**Quiz Monday**

**Weekly Skills Due Tuesday**

**Almost There Practice Test Wednesday**

**Review Thursday**

**Unit 6 Test Friday**

Today students turned in Weekly Skills 26/Math Minutes.

Then we checked the qualitative graph homework from last night (pg 15).

The new topic of today was scatter plots. We took notes, practiced interpreting several examples, and even made one example of our own.

**Homework: finish page 18 of the Unit 6 Packet (problems 1,2,3,5)**

**Unit 6 Quiz Monday**

**Unit 6 Test Friday**
