Unit 6 Test is Friday!

Remember it’s an early dismissal tomorrow at 1:30 pm!

# March 11, 2019

Today students completed a review of qualitative graphs, scatter plots, and two-way tables before taking the Unit 6 quiz.

Remember Weekly Skills 26 /Math Minutes are due tomorrow!

Unit 6 Test Friday

# March 8, 2019

Today we checked the 2 way table homework.

Then we reviewed for Monday’s quiz by completing pg 26 in the packet.

For the quiz students should know:

• Qualitative graphs- no numbers, x axis is always time
• Scatter Plots- never connect the points, the 3 types of correclations, and how to use a line of best fit to interpret the data and make conjectures
• Two-way Tables- how to read them and compute relative frequencies from rows or columns to interpret the data

Homework: none, unless you need to finish weekly skills 27 or your math minutes  (due Tuesday)

Quiz Monday

Test Friday!

# March 7, 2019

Today we checked the homework from last night about Lines of Best Fit

Then we learned about 2 Way Tables and Relative Frequency.

Remember you can find relative frequency by ROW or by COLUMN

Homework: finish page 25 of the Unit 6 packet

Quiz Monday

Weekly Skills 27/Math Minutes due Tuesday

Test Friday

# March 6, 2019

Today we checked the homework from page 18 (scatter plots)

Next we learned about how the Line of Best Fit represents the “average” of all the points on a scatter plot and how it can be used to make a conjecture (educated guess/prediction) based on the data.  See the example:

Homework: pg 21 (problems 2 and 3)
