The Case Continues…..

Block 1:  Students have completed the Paris Peace Treaty simulation.  I think there is a new understanding of why this “peace” treaty may have actually planted the seeds for another war!  Students turned in the paragraph about the Rise of Nazism.

Block 2:  On your Own tonight….I would like to see how you do analyzing a document and collecting evidence.  Use the ones we did together as your example and follow the process.  Document D, top portion, portion of the Treaty of Versailles about war guilt.

Blocks 3, 4, and 5:  You do not have any homework…tonight.  You will tomorrow though!  (Block 2-you are getting it out of the way tonight).

See you tomorrow!

Is the Treaty of Versailles to blame for WWII?

The evidence room has been opened up…..we are examining various documents to see if we have a guilty suspect on our hands….

Block 1:  Homework:  Prepare a final draft of the paragraph you wrote on the last page of your Rise of Nazism webquest.  This means you have made revisions (added more information pulled directly from your research), in pen or typed.  This is due tomorrow.

I do love a good debate!

Blocks 2, 3, 4, and 5:  Students completed the Treaty of Versailles simulation today.  We had some passionate discussion in trying to decide the fate of Germany after WWI.

Block 1:  We interrupt this war….to get ready for another.  Students began a webquest focusing on the conditions, both globally and in Germany, that provided the perfect opportunity for the Rise of Hitler.  We will return to the Media Center on Friday to finish…it is not homework!

Homework:  Thank a veteran for his/her service!  We wouldn’t be here without them!
