Keep on truckin’

Just a few more days to keep up the hard work…then you deserve a week off!

All blocks-test on Friday.  You have been completing the study guide as we have gone through the unit.  PLEASE don’t wait until last minute to study!  A little bit each night is the best thing!

Blocks 1 and 2:  Today you began developing a map that focuses on the languages of Europe.  Once you have completed the map, there are 4 analysis questions to complete for homework, as well as the map (which helps you answer the questions).  You will not find the answers in the packet for 2, 3, or 4… will need to dig deep and get that critical thinking motor going!  I will collect those tomorrow.  Discovery #3 is in Synergy.

Blocks 3, 4, and 5;  Today’s topic was the religions of Europe.  HOMEWORK:  Complete chart and Venn Diagram.  We will discuss tomorrow!

Busy week ahead…and a change!

We are off and sprinting this week.  Unit 1 test is on Friday.  Due to the Rosh Hashannah holiday, we will test on Friday NOT on Thursday as planned.  CNN News will be on Thursday instead but warm-up is due on Friday.  Environmental Issues will be on Thursday with our project and Chernobyl article.

Blocks 1 and 2:  Classes annotated for cause and effect today as we learned about the environmental issues that come along with a healthy economy…strange isn’t it-trade-offs my friends!  HOMEWORK:  complete annotation and cause and effect of the three issues.  We will work in class about 15 minutes on the CRISIS IN IMAGES activity tomorrow.

Blocks 3, 4, and 5:  We “Let it Go” today as we examined the diversity of languages in Europe.  Tomorrow we will work on the Languages of Europe map AND the analysis questions.  Homework:  Have steps 1-3 completed on the map directions.
