Microsoft Certification: Please DO NOT STRESS about the modules. I am being advised by the County Office that GMETRIX and MS Certification will be available soon.  I will make adjustments to “due dates” based on our availability to the software.

Unit 2:

Teamwork, Leadership, Time Management and Entrepreneurship

For all business students, you should check the BLOG at the beginning of the week. I try and post my plans for the week by Monday morning. I will use this blog to post PowerPoints from class notes and to remind you of upcoming projects and assessments.

Monday:  Leadership – Students complete Leadership Styles Handout using the PowerPoint below (Leadership Styles). Turn in for a formative grade. Complete lessons #20 (Shapes) and #21 (WordArt) on – Go through the lesson completely and then complete the Challenge activity at the end. Use the practice documents provided by the website. Save the finished products in your business folder. I will check them on Tuesday.

Wednesday:  Entrepreneurship – Bellringer: Are you an Entrepreneur? Leadership Quotes – Complete a Summary Pyramid after reading articles on Entrepreneurship – Youtube Videos about Young Entrepreneurs – Characteristics of Effective Entrepreneurs

Thursday: Entrepreneurship –  Graphic organizer for Entrepreneurial Characteristics – and Chambers of Commerce – How can they benefit a young entrepreneur? – Microsoft Word Lessons (If we have GMETRIX)

Friday: Restaurant Simulation and GMETRIX –  Bellringer: Honorifics – List of requirements for restaurant – Announcement of Unit 2 test when we return from the break (Tuesday, October 3) – Memo to New Employees
