Introduction to Business and Technology – Spring 2020!

March 22nd –

Hello everyone. I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy.

This week, I would like everyone to work on a couple of assignments from gcflearnfree.org so that we can keep our Microsoft Word skills at a high level. Also, you will be doing some research on the SBA (Small Business Administration). Right now, the SBA is in the news because of the ailing small businesses in the United States. The coronavirus is having adverse effects on small businesses and many of them are having to close their doors for lack of customers. This internet activity will give you a good idea about the services that the SBA offers for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Assignment #1: GO to gcflearnfree.org – Click on Technology – Click on Office Word – Go to Lesson #9 – Line and Paragraph Spacing – Watch the tutorial and go through the lesson. At the end of the lesson, click on the Challenge Practice Document and modify the letter to Ms. Ella Jackson. Follow the instructions in the challenge. Save the letter as you will submit to me as an attachment.

Assignment #2: GO to gcflearnfree.org – Click on Technology – Click on Office Word – Go to Lesson #15 – Columns – Watch the tutorial and go through the lesson. At the end of the lesson, click on the Challenge Practice Document and modify the Newsletter for Lime Grove Luxury Apartments. Follow the instructions in the challenge. Save the newsletter as you will submit to me as an attachment.

Assignment #3: Small Business Administration Handout – PLEASE READ THE DIRECTIONS. There is a section at the top of the instructions that you may miss if you do not read carefully. You may type the answers in a Word document and submit to me as an attachment.
