In 2005, I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I received a Master’s Degree in May of 2019. I am currently working towards a Specialist’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction at Piedmont College.
This is my fifteenth year of teaching. I started my career in kindergarten, then I became a Title I teacher and worked with students from 1st to 5th grades. I spent five years teaching 3rd grade. I looped up with that class to 4th grade. Last year was my first year at CHES and my first year teaching 5th grade.
I grew up in Connecticut, but have lived in Georgia since 1998. My husband and I live in Mableton. Our son moved into his own apartment this summer, and I’m not sure how I feel about being an “empty nester.” On the weekends you would most likely find me reading a good book, rooting for the Patriots, attending a concert, or trying a new restaurant. Scuba diving is my new passion, and I try to get to the reef on as many vacations as possible!
