Week of August 22-26, 2016

7th Grade– We played a Predator/Prey game and graphed our results.  Tuesday and Thursday we will watch a video called The Queen of Trees which illustrates all the Interactions of Living Things we have studied. We will play Kahoot and Quizlet on Wednesday.  On Friday we will make an Energy Pyramid.  Test on Tuesday of next week. See previous posts for notes. Make flashcards from this quizlet link as a review for the test Tuesday.

8th Grade-

6th period– We are reviewing for our test Friday on the Scientific Method and Metrics.  We will practice with the formulas for density, volume, and perimeter. We are doing a Stations Lab Review Wednesday and Thursday.  Friday after the test we will start chapter 2.

 7th period (Ms. Roth) Monday and Tuesday we reviewed for the test on Wednesday.  Copies of Notes:Physical Science Notes 1.1 Phy Sci-CHAPTER 1 SECTION 2   Phy Sci-Chapter 1 SECTION 3  PHYS SCI-CHAPTER 1 SECT 4

Week of August 15-19, 2016

7th grade-

Monday– We did a Food Web Activity with Chart and Diagram.

Tuesday– We watched a video about how the introduction of wolves back into Yellowstone Park changed the ecosystem.  We worked on questions 4-15 for Ch 18.  Due Thursday.

Wednesday– We finished CH 18 notes.  Questions 4-15 due tomorrow.  ch 18 notes- Jacobson

Mon-We finished 1.4 notes and completed Skittles Lab data

Tuesday– 6th period- We reviewed our notes so far with Kahoot on iPads.  🙂

7th period- Metric Conversion

Wednesday– Metric Conversion Practice;  Help Sheet:  Metric Conversion

Thursday– Ms. Roth will have a science math review session at 8:15 tomorrow in her room, reviewing the math we use in science.

7th grade– We are studying the Interactions of Living Things (Ch 18)

Monday we had a Biotic and Abiotic Lab, determining if certain things were living or non-living. We took notes on what living things need, have, and do.

Tuesday- We discussed p. 480-83 in the text book, received questions for the chapter which can be used as a study guide.  Questions 1-3 are due tomorrow, answered in complete sentences on notebook paper.

Wednesday- We are working on a Levels of Organization Project which is due at the end of class Friday.

Thursday—We are learning about food webs and how plants and animals get energy.  We have a Food Web Energy Lab.

Friday- we will take notes from p. 484-489 in textbook and finish the Levels… Project
