Dear Parents,

What a fun week we had! The students had a wonderful time at the Valentine party, thank you to everyone who helped out! The students also enjoyed making the valentines for their parents.  Reminder next week is Winter break and there will be no school! Picture day is soon! It will be on March 6th. When we return to school on February 26th we will be starting our space theme!

Dear Parents,

The students had a wonderful week last week! They enjoyed learning about the weather! On Thursday we celebrated the start of the Olympics! The students played ring toss, marble racing, and we did indoor ice skating. Remember this Wednesday will be our Valentine’s Day party from 8:45-9:30. Parents are welcome to join. Also, next week February 19-23 is February break, there will be no school. Spring Class pictures will be March 6th!

Dear Parents,

Happy Groundhog Day! We had a fantastic week. We started off the week with Mr. Castle being our guest reader!The students loved having Mr. Castle read them a story. The students who stay in the afternoon have really enjoyed going to specials. They have been super stars at following directions in specials, and the are having some much participating with the Kindergarten class. Also, on Thursday afternoon we attended the juggling team performance. The students loved it! February 14th we will be having our Valentine’s party from 8:45- 9:30, and parents are welcome to join! I will send home a list of names next week for the students ,who would like to get valentine cards to pass out to their friends.

We had a fun time celebrating our 100th day of school! We will be having our Valentine’s Day part the 14th from 8:45-9:30. Parents are welcome to join! Next week we will start attending specials! Monday we will attend Music, Tuesday we will attend Art, Wednesday and Thursday will be Social Play in the classroom and Friday we will attend P.E. Parents students must wear tennis shoes on Friday for P.E. or they will not be able to participate. Our New Schedule is:

Dear Parents,

Dues to the weather and closing of school last week we will continue our theme of Winter. The book we will be reading is Snowmen and Night and we will be focusing on the same vocabulary as last week. The focuses of the week will be:

This Friday is the 100th Day of School! To celebrate the 1ooth day the students are allowed to dress up as if they were 100 years old .

Friday Jan. 5 2018!

Parents,

We had a fantastic week back! The students are enjoying being back. For next week we will be continuing the story Snowmen at Work. We will continue to learn about the letter D, color Brown, shape octagon and number 1. Next week we will still be using our old schedule. I am slowly implementing in our new motor curriculum to the students since a lot of the activities will be new for them. I am excited to see how this new curriculum will help the students improve in their motor development! Our class is in need of snacks. The snacks that the students enjoy the most are goldfish, pretzels, crackers, and cereals. Remember Monday is Dawg/Tide day. The students are encouraged to wear spirit wear for any college football team.

New Year, New Things

Parents,

We had a wonderful week full of fun activities! We had our guest reader (Mrs. Cody) read the Gingerbread Man! We attended our schools  Holiday sing along. We have a some new changes happening when we return from break!

First, we will no longer be implementing Smart Moves. We now have a new curriculum called Learn to Move which we will start once we return from break. This curriculum is set up so that the students have more sensory breaks throughout the day. We will start with a warm-up and vestibular activities. Then throughout the day we will have a propioception activity, hand eye coordination and fine motor activities. With this new curriculum we will change the activity when we start a new unit. I am really excited to start this curriculum and see how the students will respond!

Another change that will occur is in the afternoon (for full day students) students will start to attend specials with a kindergarten class! We will only be in specials for 2o minutes a day, but this will give our students opportunities to explore new activities! With all of these changes our schedule will be changing.

Parents,

This week has been wonderful! I want to thank all of the parents for being so flexible with last Friday’s dismissal. I hope everyone enjoyed the snow. Thank you to everyone who came and joined us for the party today. It is was so much fun!! A special thanks to Kim Knight and Kay Cody for coordinating the whole the party!

This past week our Story of the week was Goldilocks and The Three Bears and the letter was B. Next week our story will be The Gingerbread Man by Mara Alperin. Our Vocabulary words are: baker, goat, gingerbread man, climb, leap, run, chase, middle, over, around, through and oven. Our letter of the week is X, the color is Brown, and the shape is octagon.

Next week Monday is a regular school day and Tuesday and Wednesday are Early Dismissal. Winter break starts Thursday the 21 and School will resume January 4th.

Dear Parents,

We are now in the month of December. We will be having our Holiday party Friday December 15th and parents are welcome to join!

This week we had a lot of fun making mouse hats and wearing them during story. We also made a mess just like in our story Mouse Mess! The afternoon students were able to go to the library this week and participate in some fun coding and STEM activities.

Next, week will be starting our new unit on Fairy Tales. The book of the week is Chicken Little by Laura Rader. The vocabulary words are: ears, hen, tail, eyes, duck, goose, chick, king, acorn, sky and falling. The shape of the week is triangle and the color is brown. The letter of the week is L.
