Parents,

I can’t believe we only have half of a week left of school! This past week has been fun. The students are enjoying learning about the ocean. We watched Mr. Castle get taped to a wall today for the STEM fundraiser! Reminder Monday the 21st will be our class party! Parents are welcome to join in on the fun, it will be from 8:30-9:45. Next Tuesday and Wednesday are Early Release. Half day students will be released at 10:30 and full day will be dismissed at 12:15.

Friday, May 11th

Parents,

We had an exciting week! All of the students did a wonderful job at field day! They tried their best and they followed directions, but most of the had fun! They really enjoyed the inflatable rock wall and inflatable obstacle course the most. We made Mothers Day gifts, and they were all sent home in pink bags. A few reminders please send in the manila envelopes with your address, on the front and 4 stamps since that is how we will be sending the last progress report. Monday the 21 will be our end of the year party! It will be from 8:30- 9:45 and parents are welcome to join!

Friday, May 4th

Parents,

We had another wonderful week! Our caterpillars are now butterflies! We will be releasing them next week. We had a lot of fun during STEM day. Everyone was able to have Kona Ice. Watching the cereal box domino route was exciting! This week we explored what things sink and float in water. We even did a science experiment to see how many objects it would take before a styrofoam cup, paper plate and paper bowl would sink. We have a lot of fun things coming up! Next Tuesday is field day. Please make sure that your child is wearing the appropriate clothing. We will be wearing our class shirts that we made. I will have them at school for them to put on. Monday May 21st is our end of the year party! Parents are welcome to join!

Parents,

We had an awesome week! Our butterflies have made their chrysalis’, and we can’t wait for them to become butterflies. This past Thursday was Career Day! We got to meet a police officer and his dog. We also  saw a fire truck and met some firefighters. The students loved the farmer and they got to pet a lamb! A few reminders, next Friday is STEM day and we are collecting cereal boxes for one of our activities. Also May 8th will be Field Day! We will be making class shirts. Please send in a white t-shirt with your child’s initials labeled on the inside. Please have these in by next Tuesday.

Parents,

We had a fantastic week! This week we received some caterpillars, and we will be watching them next few weeks as they turn into butterflies! We will continue our unit of Ponds the next two weeks. Remember, tomorrow (April 21) is the Run the Ridge Run at 8:00. Friday, May 4th we will be participating the school wide STEM day. We will be collecting cereal boxes to use for one of our STEM projects. Remember May 8th is field day and we will be making class shirts. Please, send in a plain white t-shirt with your child’s initials written on the tag.

Parents,

We had an awesome first week back! The students enjoyed learning about baby animals. The students favorite art project this week was making a flower out of a coffee filter. They are currently posted in the hallway!  Next, Monday and Tuesday we will still have the modified schedule, but on Wednesday we start our regular schedule again. Tuesday, May 8th will be Field day! We will be decorating shirts for class shirts to wear during field day. Please send in a plain white t-shirt in your child’s size, and please initial it on the inside.

I hope you all are enjoying Spring Break! Last week the students had fun learning about animals and how different animals carry their babies. We had the puppet workshop this week, and all of the students loved it! They were able to play with a few of the different type of puppets. Each students also decorated their Pete the Cat puppet!

Dear Parents,

We had a fun week! The students enjoyed continuing the zoo theme. We pretended to be different animals during music and movement. The students loved going on a safari hunt today! We made our own safari costume this week, binoculars, hat and a vest. The costume was sent home today. Next Wednesday, 28th we will have an in house field trip with a puppet workshop! Remember Spring break is April 2-6th.

Friday, March 9th

Parents,

We had a great week! We continued to learn about space, and the students thought our book of the week was hilarious. This week was exceptional students week, and we had Ms. Casey came and read  a book to the class! The students enjoyed listening to her and they even asked her a couple of questions about the story. A few upcoming dates to know about. Next Wednesday (14th) is an early dismissal day. Wednesday, March 28th from 11-12 we will be having a puppet workshop come visit our class! The students will be able to create their own puppet.
