Hi friends!  Are you ready for today’s question? This week, we will be working with PebbleGo, another great resource in Cobb Digital Library.

To get there:

  • go to cobb.mackinvia.com
  • type in your login information (firstname.lastname)
  • type in your password
  • click on databases (on the left)
  • find “PebbleGo Animals”and open it
  • Answer these questions:
    • Which type of shark has white lines and white spots?
    • What does that type of shark like to eat?
    • How long do these types of sharks live?

After you have those answers go to this form and post your answers! I’ll choose a winner tomorrow. If more than one of you has the correct answer, I will do a drawing to see who the winner is for today.

Hello again, readers and question answer-ers!  Are you ready for your next question?

For the first few challenges, I am going to give you lots of directions. After we all figure this out together, you will be researching on your own!

Today’s challenge answer can be found in DK Find Out!, one of my favorite resources in Cobb Digital Library.

To get there from home:

  • go to cobb.mackinvia.com
  • type in your login information (firstname.lastname)
  • type in your password
  • click on databases (on the left)
  • find “DK Find Out”and open it
  • scroll down and click on “history” (it’s on the far right)
  • scroll down again and click on “Seven Wonders of the World”
  • click on “Great Pyramid at Giza” and answer the following questions:
    • Does it still exist?
    • How tall is it?
    • Who was the Great Pyramid at Giza built for?
    • Anything else you want to tell me?

After you have those answers go to this form and post your answers! I’ll choose a winner tomorrow. If more than one of you has the correct answer, I will do a drawing to see who the winner is for today.

Each Tuesday and Thursday, I will post a challenge question for you to answer. The winner will receive a prize when we return to school.

    • using the information you find, read all about it and answer these questions:
    • How fast is the fastest land animal?
    • What is the longest that it can run that fast?
