WE NEED YOU!
Next year we would love to teach the Robotics Unit for 4th/5th grades using the LEGO EV3 robots which retail for around $400 a piece. We have one. We need 4 to be well stocked but even a second one would be awesome.
We’d love to hear your ideas or if you think you might have corporate sponsor in mind – we’d love to talk to you about it!
Please email me at [email protected] with any ideas you may have to get us there!
We have enjoyed the Speroes and Ozobots donated by E.Smith this year and plan to implement them more next year.
As we navigate through the Milestone Testing Window we will be having 1/2 day Target Classes. Students should still bring their binders on their regular Target Day. We should be back to normal by Thursday, April 19th.
On April 30th, Window 3 for Gifted Testing begins and we will be having 1/2 Target Classes on most days for at least the first week. We will keep you posted.

Tuesday – Fifth Grade – split with Mrs. Davis/ Mrs. Eitenmiller
Wednesday – Second Grade – split with Mrs. Davis/ Mrs. Eitenmiller
Thursday – Third Grade with Mrs. Davis and Fourth Grade with Mrs. Eitenmiller
Target classes resume the week of January 8 and progress reports come home.
1st Grade Target meeting for parents new to Target is Friday, February 16, 2018, at 7:30 in room 333. Hope to see you then!
Happy New Year Everyone!
We hope everyone had a fun and relaxing holiday break with family and friends! Since we started testing just after the Thanksgiving break, we are anxious to see our students and get back to work in the classroom.
Please check the page of your grade level and teacher to get updates!
New to Target? You should’ve received two copies of the same letter. Please be sure to send a signed copy back to school with your child on January 3rd. We need that signed letter in order for your child to start Target the following week. There is a Target Open House scheduled for Friday, January 12th @7:30am in the Keheley Learning Commons. We look forward to seeing you there. For supplies, your child will need a binder – about 1 1/2 inch with 5 dividers labeled. HW/Tally, PreAlgebra, Affective, Cognitive, and Extension. These are the main topic areas that our Target standards cover. Please don’t hesitate to email one of us with any questions you may have. We will be attending trainings January 3-5 but will be able to answer email.

Our last Target classes for this semester are the week of November 13-17! We begin Gifted Eligibility Testing during the rest of November and December.
It was great to see some of you during conference week! If you missed out on a conference and would still like to chat, please send us an email and we’ll find some time for a phone conference or one on one at school.
I ran across this brochure while researching some information for a parent. Many of you are such amazing advocates for your children. Navigating through choices in education with a gifted child can be daunting.
A new subscription button should be appearing on the home page of our site. It will alert you when additions to the website have been made.
Thank you for all you do for your children!
