Welcome!

July31

My name is Kimberly Jones, and it is my privilege to have your child in my class this year. Middle school is an exciting time with many new challenges and experiences. As your child’s Social Studies teacher, I make every effort to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment to meet each child’s individual needs. In turn, students are expected to actively participate in the classroom and in their learning and studying skills. Students are also encouraged to learn responsible behaviors and develop essential character traits. I hold high expectations for all of my students, and I truly believe every student can achieve these high expectations with the support of the family and teacher.

I list all of the graded activities, homework assignments, quizzes, and tests on Monday for the week on the board. Students are expected to copy these assignments down in their planner so that they are aware of the academic learning expectations during the week.

If you have any concerns or questions about your child’s educational experience in my classroom, please do not hesitate to contact me. I prefer to communicate by e-mail, and I will respond to e-mails before school, after school, and during my planning period. I look forward to an exciting year with you and your child!

Sincerely,

Kimberly Jones, Ed. S
