UPCOMING EVENTS

  • September 11: Patriots Day at 1:00 – Wear Red, White and Blue. Popsicles will be sold for $1.00.
  • September 11: Chick Fil A Night 6-8  (at Chastain Meadow)
  • September 14: Jamboree Carnival– 6-8 pm
  • September 13-18: 3rd and 5th Grade IOWA testing.

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING:

Math: 3rd and 4th grade will be working on their adding and subtracting skills throughout the week. 5th grade will be working on expressions and the power of 10.

Science: We are learning about the Solar System! 3rd grade will also be doing mini lessons on rock and soil while 5th grade works on Deconstruction and Constructive forces.

ELA: In writing we will continue working on our personal narratives. In reading we will continue work on our bullying module and finding the main idea.

Week of August 27th

We are excited to announce 5th grade’s field trip to the Chattahoochee Nature Center.  Information went home with your child today.  The permission slip along with $35 will be due by Friday, September 7th.  We due have a strict due date in order to pay CNC.  We will ask for chaperones after September 7th.  Thank you for your support!

ugust:

8/29- Early Release (make sure we know how your child is going home)

8/30- Picture Day (order form went home weeks ago)/ Chicken biscuits on sale in the morning for $3 (1st come, 1st serve)

8/31- Parent Love Letter Due (This was your parent homework from Open House.  Info in our blog, if you need a reminder)

September:

9/3- No School (Labor Day)

9/5- Progress Reports go home (Please, sign and return)

9/7- Hat Day for $1

9/11- Patriot’s Day (invite to all families posted below)

9/13-9/18- IOWA standardized testing for 5th grade

9/24-9/28- September Break (no school)

September 11th is Patriot’s Day

WOW!! We exceeded our fundraising goal and could not have done it without your help. We thank you for your support. The classrooms will receive funds for supplies and our Learning Commons will be getting some much needed broadcasting equipment.
