We had a great time at Puppetry Arts Center watching The Cat and The Hat. Your students showed fabulous behavior and our bus driver even said that we were the best Kindergarten class (along with Mrs. Davis) she had ever had on her bus!

This week we are learning:

ELA

  • Compare and contrast fiction books about spring with the nonfiction texts we read last week.
  • Phonics: review long vowel using the silent (magic) e. He changes the vowels sounds! CVCe  (ex cap changes to cape)
  • Sight words: does, found, help, just, learn

Writing:

  • Informational, narrative, and opinion writing

Math

  • Continue practicing addition and subtraction to 10 using numbers, drawings, and number lines. Subtraction and addition to 10 in word problems.

Science:

  • Nonliving and living : I have enjoyed the living/nonliving work that your children have been bringing from home.
