April 29

As we begin our last 3 ½ weeks of school I will be working on assessments for reports cards and Gkids. Spring is a busy time for end of year activities: sports, recitals, etc and just fun staying outside playing later in the evening! Please try to keep as normal a schedule (especially sleep!) as we close in on the end of the year.

Thank you to all of the parents who helped make Ms Comegys and I feel so special last week! I want to let you know that Ms Comegys will be retiring this year after many years in the classroom. I would like to put together a memory book for her and am hoping that each student can write a sweet note to her at home. Encourage them to think of what is special to them about Ms Comegys. I would like the notes to be written on some type of 8 1/2  by 11 inch paper so that I can put them in a scrap book. Please send the finished note to school in an envelope addressed to me (since Ms Comegys checks the folders), and I would like to have these by Friday May 11- but you can send them in whenever they are ready. Thank you so much for helping me honor Ms Comegys!

We hope that all of our families had a great Spring Break!!  We look forward to seeing our students on Monday!!  A reminder that the GA Milestone Assessment begins for our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders on Tuesday, April 10th.  Because we will have multiple testing sessions going in the building and will be testing the majority of the day, we ask that we not have visitors for lunch on Tuesday through Thursday, April 10 – 12 as well as Monday & Tuesday, April 16th & 17th.  Our lunch and specials schedule is different on those days and we will have testing going on all around the building.  For that reason, we ask that we not have visitors on those days. Thank you for your understanding!!
