Eastvalley’s Education Enrichment Campaign

The EV Foundation Education Enrichment Campaign has been extended one week (Oct. 30-Nov. 3rd) to raise support for many of the learning programs and activities here at the school. If we raise $13,000 during our special PayDay Challenge period (from Friday Oct 27th – Friday Nov 3rd) we will have Pie Day Friday on Friday, November 17th. On Pie Day, all students will receive extra recess time and get a chance to have their name drawn to throw a pie at Mr. Foster and other EV staff members! Thank you for your donations and your support of student learning and achievement here at EV! As of this morning, Tues Oct 31st, we have already raised $5,000 towards our $13,000 PayDay for Pie Day Challenge Goal! Let’s do this Eastvalley Family!!

If you haven’t already done so, head to our website today and donate to put your student’s team in the lead (scroll to the bottom of the page to pick a teacher/team). All classes that meet their classroom goal get extra recess and ice-cream and the top 3 classes will get a prize after the campaign.  For more information on how your donations are used, check out the Thermometer Tree.

The Foundation Education Enrichment Campaign is entirely volunteer driven so that 100% of money raised stays at Eastvalley. The Campaign raises money to fund projects such as the STEM lab, technology upgrades, the Science Lab Teacher, and others that the school could not otherwise afford without private donations. Your contribution is very much appreciated. Please donate now.

Help Us Treat Our Troops!

Do you think you’ll get a lot of candy for Halloween? More importantly, could you give a few pieces to our troops overseas?

Even if you only donate a small amount of candy, it will make a big difference for our troops. And this is a very special tradition started by one of our very own Eastvalley Eagles (now at East Cobb Middle). Each of the last five years we have raised over 300 pounds of candy. Help us raise even more this year!

ALL CANDY DUE NOVEMBER 3 – There will be boxes outside the front office for your candy donations.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

Eastvalley Elementary School is working with The Center for Family Resources and East Cobb Middle School Food Pantry to help families this Thanksgiving.

There will be food collection containers near the entrance of the school starting October 30 thru November 10. There is a critical shortage of food at this time, so please donate non-perishable food items.

Your support of this worthy cause is greatly appreciated.

Kindergarten – rice, pasta, canned cranberry sauce

1st Grade – canned soups, canned vegetables

2nd Grade – dry beans, canned fruit

3rd Grade – stuffing/dressing, canned meats

4th Grade – jelly, peanut butter, instant mashed potatoes

5th Grade – dried or canned milk, boxed macaroni & cheese, cereal

We invite everyone to join us in the Eastvalley Cafe on Thursday, November 2 at 6:30 pm for an update on your PTA’s activities and upcoming events followed by something you won’t want to miss!  Elfis and the Frozen Princess, a delightful musical that will thrill you, touch your heart and make you smile, will be performed by our very talented Eastvalley Eagle Chorus!

Annual Mother/Daughter Afternoon Out – November 11

Sign up ends this Friday for our fun Mother/Daughter afternoon out and space is limited! Eastvalley girls & their moms are invited to “Paint your own masterpiece” at Canvas by U on Saturday November 11th. Grades K-2 will paint from 11am -12:30 PM and grades 3-5 will paint from 1 – 2:30 PM.

The cost is $25 per child (no charge for moms) and includes canvas and supplies. The girls will create individual works of art to take home that afternoon while the moms observe and assist. No experience is needed!

Canvas by U is located at 3000 Johnson Ferry Road, Suite 212, next to the Northeast Cobb YMCA. The reserved room is small, so reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. There are only 30 spots per painting session!

Marietta Martial Arts – Partners in Education – Additional Day Camps

What are your plans for Election Day and Thanksgiving Break?

While the kids are out of school, our Partner in Education, Marietta Martial Arts, is offering Day Camps.  Let the kids come hang with MMA while school is out.  The days will be planned with fun karate games – like ninja dodge ball and kung fu tumbling.

Camp is available on Election Day and the first three days of Thanksgiving Break. Join us for all the days or pick just one day! Go to and click on the “Camps” at the top of the page.

Celebrate Your Artist with Square 1 Art

Coming home soon will be your child’s custom catalog featuring their artwork. Won’t you help make your child feel like an accomplished artist by purchasing keepsakes for the whole family containing their masterpiece? The school earns profit from every order. And as a thank you for participating, we provide each child with a sheet of stickers imprinted with their artwork — absolutely FREE!

Watch for more details about the campaign and order deadlines. All online and paper order forms must be turned in by the due date on your child’s custom catalog. (No late orders can be accepted.) Together, we can help support the school, build your child’s self-esteem, and create lasting keepsakes from your child’s artistic achievements.
