We are working hard to complete our genrifying project.
So, please excuse our mess while we are working to finish genrifying.
Once we are finished, you are going to LOVE it!!
It will be easier for you to find books in your favorite genres!
Come check out what we have completed so far!
Our annual contest of Share the Love has begun!
Here’s how it works:
Nominate a teacher that you think needs some Library Love.
If your nomination is the winner, YOU AND YOUR TEACHER will win some Library Love on Valentine’s Day!
Come to the media center to pick up a nomination form!
We are looking for artists and designers!!
Our January contest in the media center is to design a bookmark. Your bookmark should be original, creative, and colorful! Your design should relate to books, library, reading, ECMS, seasons, or your idea!
The designer of the best bookmark will win a prize from the media center. Also, the winning bookmark will be made into a bookmark and distributed in the media center to our students.
Come to the media center to pick up a blank bookmark to design and enter the contest.
All entries are due in the media center NO LATER than Friday, February 2nd!!
Congratulations to the ECMS Reading Bowl Team! They competed at Campbell High School on Saturday, January 13th. Great job!
Mrs. Barnes has a few openings this semester for library volunteers! If you are a 7th or 8th grader who would like to volunteer in the library during homeroom a couple of times a week, then please come to the library to get an application.
Applications are due to Mrs. Barnes by Wednesday, January 17th.
Winter is a great time to curl up with a book while it’s too cold to be outside! Be sure to come to the media center to select one of our books!
Can you guess the total number of combined pages in the two wrapped books?
The student with the closest guess will win a prize!
Listen for the winner’s name on the morning announcements on Wednesday, December 20th!
We have a lot of new books in the media center, so be sure to come visit us!
We also have all of our holiday books on display, so you can select one of those too!
Since it’s cold outside(and it’s been snowing), it’s a great time to read inside!
Thank you to all of our students, parents, staff,
and community members
who donated to our book collection for students in need!
We collected over 929 books!
We greatly appreciate your generosity!
Come to the media center this week, and let us know what book you are thankful for! It could be a book that is memorable, your favorite, or just one you love! We will draw several names and announce them on Friday to win a prize!
