Third Grade Adaptations

Our third graders are using their critical thinking skills to analyze the “why” behind changes that current authors have made to classic fairy tale stories.  They cooperatively worked on comparing and contrasting new and old texts.  Studying the craft of writing is giving our third graders great ideas for their own adaptations!  Keep up the great work, third grade!!

Kindergarten Literacy Work

Hi Parents,

Hope you had a great weekend!  Last week we were busy working with you students on a variety of literacy skills.  In Kindergarten, the students are using technology to practice reading.  They have been working hard this week on C-V-C (consonant-vowel-consonant) word reading and spelling.  We are so proud of them!

ACCESS Testing Begins January 16th

Hello Parents,

We will begin our ACCESS testing on January 16th at Bells Ferry.  Your children will be assessed on their progress in English.  They will complete four sections of the assessment: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.  We are confident that your children will do a wonderful job on the assessment!  Please partner with us on preparing them during our testing time by allowing for plenty of rest at night and a good breakfast each morning.  Thank you for your support!

~The ESOL Team
