Meet Miss Hill and Mrs. Wilson

Miss Hill

Welcome to second grade! My name is Madison Hill, and I will be your child’s teacher this year! A classroom community and family is what I want for this year! I hope that we will be able to work towards a successful year together!
I attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Go Vikings! I currently live in Kennesaw where I have grown up for most of my life. I enjoy painting, being outside, decorating classrooms, and baking! Hopefully I will be able to make some sweet treats for this sweet class this year! I LOVE Dr. Seuss books as you can probably tell by my classroom. I think he truly inspires children to love reading and get creative with their writing.
I also love to travel! I have been blessed to visit several countries outside of the US. My favorite foods are macaroni and cheese and chocolate of all kinds! My favorite restaurant is Henry’s Louisiana Grill! Several of my family members are from Louisiana and I am a huge LSU tigers football fan!
This will be my fourth year teaching, my second at Pitner! Second grade is so fun – it is a very challenging year with many new concepts. I love finding fun, new ways to introduce each and every concept! I am in love with the topics covered in second grade and I think my excitement about learning really inspires kids to love school. I also believe in play and movement- we will not spend all day in our desks- kid bodies were not made to sit still all day!
By making my classroom a safe, fun, and organized place for my students, I hope that they will enjoy coming to school each day and learning something new. I strive to be an educator who loves each child that walks through her door and gives each of them not only an education, but a passion to learn. I can’t wait to get this year started!

Mrs. Wilson

Welcome to our class for the 2018-2019 school year! We look forward to working with you and your child! I have been teaching for 28 years. In addition, I am from Florida and taught my first 10 years there. We moved to Georgia immediately after my first son was born. My husband and I have two sons in college. Robert attends Savannah State University and will enter the Marines afterwards. Ethan will be attending Savannah College of Arts and Design studying Fashion.

My husband and I are involved in our temple and spend a lot of time volunteering. One of the areas we volunteer in is building homes for Habitat for Humanity. Moreover, I love reading and hope to teach a love of reading to my students! I also love taking pictures and making photo books. Spending time with my family is my favorite thing to do!

Please click the buttons below to sign up to make copies in Miss Hill’s class! Lists are separated into August – December and January – May. Feel free to sign up for more than one day (reoccurring days, every other Friday, etc.). Thank you in advance for volunteering!
