Thursday-We will spend a good portion of the class getting to know one another. We will also have a discussion around the question, “what is art?” What does art mean to different people? Students will then complete a drawing pretest. This will help me see what skill level students are at as well as allow students to reflect on their artistic growth in May.
Friday-Every student will need a white poster board for class. We will use the poster boards to make a portfolio to store student work throughout the semester. In class, students will draw on the outside of their portfolio to visually describe themselves to myself and classmates. If students do not finish today, they will use time throughout the next week if they finish other assignments early.
Welcome to Drawing 1. I am thrilled that you all signed up for another art class. You will be building on drawing skills developed in Comprehensive Art as well as focusing on the Principles of Design and learning facial and figure proportions. Please sign up for the drawing Remind to stay in the loop. Text @f8kfk to 81010.
