Kickball Game

Mt. Bethel KICKED CANCER TO THE CURB on Wednesday, September 18th with our tenth annual Relay for Life Kickball Game!  We are grateful for all of the community support and enthusiasm.  Our staff was very evenly matched with the Red Team competing against the Blue Team and much fun and many antics leading up to the day of the game.  The Blue Team won by one point and earned bragging rights for a year.

We all won, though, as the staff provided some entertainment and fun for the community, our students watched our staff work together to support a cause that is near and dear to our hearts, and we raised a record-breaking $6,000 through ticket sales, raffle purchases, and concessions sales.    Be sure to check the Mt. Bethel website for a short video of the event and to check the Cobb County Website for a feature on the game by COBBedTV!

Healthy Competition – Red vs. Blue

This year’s Relay for Life Campaign at Mt. Bethel kicked off with some healthy competition: The Red Hot Chili Peppers vs. The Blue Bombers on the Kickball Field.   Our staff members are just a little competitive and like to engage in a bit of pre-game talk.  We wanted to be sure that both sides were equally represented, so we deployed some “flat kickball players.”  Team members were adopted for the weekend and had amazing adventures!  Several kickball players even ended up meeting dignitaries or having fun in different states.  Please take a moment to view the videos below of their adventures and be sure to check out the pictures, too!
