We will be checking out new books on Monday, August 26th. Please make sure your child has their library books! We go to the library every 2 weeks for story and checkout. Starting this week, students will be coming up with a question that they have that they would like to find the answer to. Students will check out a book that will help them answer their own inquiry question. Ask your child what they would like to know!
Please make sure that your child is bringing their reading bag to school everyday with their small group book and their sight words. Make this something your child is responsible for! Students need their reading bag everyday to make sure that they are prepared for their group time with me. Thank you for your help in this matter!
Wednesday is an Early Release day! Please be sure all changes in transportation are made in writing!
I have added some items onto our class wish for the treasure box. Take a look, and thank you so much for all you do to support our classroom!
I hope you have enjoyed our class stories on Dojo and seeing how your child can be a pioneer! I encourage you to think of ways that your child can make changes for the better outside of school! Please see the following information for next week!

IB Unit 1: Where We Are in Place and Time
Students will begin their first IB unit this week. Please take a look at the International Baccalaureate page of my website for our Parent Letter about this unit! A copy is coming home as well!
Snacks will be placed in a bucket for students to choose from. Parents sign up for a day to make sure that we have enough snacks for every student every day. Please send individually wrapped snacks. If there are leftovers from the previous days, students can choose from those. This way, we also have snacks in case a parent accidentally forgets and so you do not have to send a snack everyday! I hope this helps to clarify! Please let me know if you have any questions!
Please be sure to complete the following items:
Sign up for snacks! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090f4fabab23a5fa7-august

Please return the Family Information Act and Clinic Cards! These are important documents that we need to have on file.
