Pictures

Pictures will be coming home tomorrow for those students who purchased pictures.

Our picture retake day has been scheduled for Wednesday October 3rd. Any students who did not have their picture taken on August 20th will need to  have their picture made on October 3rd, as these are the yearbook photos. Additionally, any student who purchased a picture package, but wishes to have their picture remade, will need to bring their pictures back to school and return the entire picture package to the GCI staff at the time they have their new picture taken.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Testing

Please read in your child’s folder information about the Cogat testing. Make sure your child has a good night’s rest, eats a healthy breakfast, and arrives at school on time! We will be testing Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday!

Book bag

Your child should be returning their book baggy to school everyday. This should have their sight words for the week, the book they have read in small groups, and their login information for Raz kids. Students need these materials everyday! Thank you for your help in this matter!

Back to Football Friday

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?  Teasley’s Physical Education department is proud to partner with the NFL and their PLAY60 program to bring you BACK TO FOOTBALL Friday on September 7th.  Back to Football Friday is a school-wide event that encourages students to get active and excited about the upcoming football season.  Students are encouraged to wear their favorite NFL football gear.  During their specials time the students will participate in football related stations testing their throwing, catching, kicking, punting, and speed/agility.

Like any school-wide event, WE NEED YOUR HELP.  To volunteer please use this link  http://signup.com/go/WscGUKW.

Should you have any questions please feel free to contact Coach Homansky at [email protected] or Coach Sonny at [email protected].

***Library Day***

We will go to the library on Tuesday. Please make sure your child returns their books so they are able to check out new ones!

***Reading Time***

We have begun our reading groups this week. Students should be bringing their bag with their sight words and books to and from school everyday. Please remember, even though the class does not have homework, reading for 20 minutes every night is considered an expectation! Students will also be permitted to bring in a small pillow or towel to keep and to use during our reading time. If students are not following our essential agreements during reading time, this privilege can be taken away. Also remember to use RAZ kids! Students have their login information taped into their daily folder!

Attendance

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! As we jump into a new school year, the Teasley Attendance Team wants to reward those students who come to school on time every day. Students who have perfect attendance at the end of the first 9 weeks, ending on Wednesday, October 10th, will receive a free dress down day, a surprise treat, and 1 entry into the end of the year drawing for a BRAND NEW BIKE! Furthermore, those students who have perfect attendance for the entire school year will have the opportunity to participate in a end of year celebration during the last week of school as well as FOUR entries into the drawing for the bike! Thank you so much for your support with getting your student to school on time every day.
