Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had an awesome and relaxing Fall Break. It’s crazy to think it is already the beginning of October!
I have just posted some more pictures of what has been going on in the classroom. It is under the Pictures tab! Feel free to take a look!
A new homework calendar was sent home today. Thank you guys so much for doing such an awesome job with this! Keep up the amazing work!
Friendly reminder: Please make sure to bring a small snack to school each day. We do not provide classroom snacks, so if you want your child to eat during this time, please remember to bring one. If you would also like to donate a class snack, that is always welcome as well 🙂
Our Fall Festival is this Friday, October 6th from 5:00-8:00 pm. This is going to be such a fun time. I hope to see you all there! 🙂
Just a reminder that we have an Early Release Day next week on October 12th.
We will also be having our first field trip on October 13th to the Center of Puppetry Arts! If you have not already sent in your permission slip along with the $3.00, please do so by Wednesday!
Be on the lookout for some information regarding Conference Week and the schedule for this week. Conference week will be held the week of October 15th.
What are we learning?
Math: Naming and identifying 2D & 3D shapes as well as counting to 100! We have been working on filling out 100 charts. Please practice counting to 100 at home! There are also links on here for songs they love to sing along to!
Social Studies/ Science: We will start goods and services. We will work on what these are as well as comparing and contrasting the 2.
Reading: As always, we are being book lovers! Please continue to practice sight words at home. I see such tremendous growth in students being able to read these! We will also be putting an emphasis on families and relatives. We will read books about this and talk about characters, setting, and sequencing the story.
Writing: Our letter this week is T! We will practice working with words that begin with this letter as well as writing it the correct way. As always, we are working on writing our names correctly, and knowing the difference between letters, words, and sentences.
I hope everyone has a fantastic week! Please feel free to reach out if you need anything at all 🙂
