East Side families, It is time for you to complete the Georgia Parent Survey. The data gathered from these surveys will be used as part of the calculation of East Side’s School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. The Georgia Parent Survey link is posted below. We ask for one parent from each family to complete the survey by Friday, December 15, 2017.
Georgia Parent Survey:
Don’t forget that we are going to the Art Barn tomorrow. It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day! Please make sure that your child is wearing jeans or pants and tennis shoes. We will be changing into our class shirts when they arrive. If you are sending in a lunch, please make sure that it is completely disposable – including the water bottle. I’ll be tweeting out pictures while we are there. I can’t wait!
Also, tomorrow is the last day to sign up for conferences. Please make sure that you’ve signed up for a time or email me if you haven’t gotten the invitation with the link.
Thanks, Mrs. Morrison
This year East Side will be using Sign Up Genius to schedule our teacher conferences. This scheduling website will allow parents to have a choice of their conference scheduling.
Parents will receive an invitation from their child’s teacher(s) to sign up for conference times. The Sign Up Genius information email will be sent to the parent email address on file with your teacher/school. If you do not have a sign up genius account, you will need to create one with the email address that your teacher uses, then you will be able to sign up for your conference time. If you already have one, you can use that account to sign up for your conference time.
You will get an email when it is your time to sign up. So you may receive invitation emails at different times. You will also be given a sign up deadline to schedule your conference at that time. At the time of the deadline, the sign up system will be closed and no longer assessable to parents. If you have not signed up by the deadline, a time will be assigned to you.
The sign up deadline for 2017 is Friday, October 6, 2017.
Please arrive at your time slot a few minutes early for your conference.
Thanks for your help in this matter.
Moms and Dads,
We have a missing lunch box. It went missing before the break but if you have seen a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle lunch box, please return it to school asap. Thanks for your time!
Just a reminder that our Fundations Parade will be held NEXT Friday on September 15 at 8:30. We sent a note home on Wednesday. Hope to see everyone on the track to celebrate learning, letters, and fun!
Thanks to all the parents who were able to come to Open House! I really enjoyed seeing everyone’s parents and am excited to begin the year with this new bunch of little Minnnows!
Welcome to kindergarten in room 109 at East Side Elementary! We are known as the Minnows and we are a great bunch of kids. Come back often to learn more about what we are learning and doing in our classroom.
