This week we will be continuing our study of Evaluating Sources. We will have a TEST this Thursday. Please make sure you prepare and use the study guide provided in class. Here are the assignments for the week:

  • Monday: Complete Grammar Review (Indefinite Pronouns)
  • Tuesday: Complete Study Guide. If you need to access the online textbook, please use this link. Your lunch number will be your username AND password. The program will then have you reset your password. Make sure to write it in your agenda! http://clever.com/in/cobb

This week, we will be continuing our study of expository and argumentative writing. Your only homework this week is Monday night: complete grammar review (Object Pronouns).

8th Grade:

This week, we will be continuing our “Slip or Trip” activity. Our writing assessment for this activity will take place on Thursday in class. If you do not finish in class, you will need to do so for homework. The only other homework this week is the grammar practice on Monday night (Indefinite Pronouns).

7th Grade:

This week we will be analyzing expository writing by identifying various text features and determining their purpose within text. There will not be any homework this week. ENJOY!

8th Grade:

This week we will be starting our study of argumentative writing by participating in a “Slip or Trip” activity. You will act as the investigator in a crime and will need to form a theory about the events that occurred. You will present your theory in an argumentative writing piece which will hopefully convince your peers. If you keep up with classwork this week, there will not be any homework!
