Well here we are…the end of elementary school! Our final two days together will be early release days which means students will be dismissed at 12:30 on both Tuesday, May 23rd and Wednesday, May 24th. As we have already cleaned out our desks students should not need to bring book bags with them either of these days. At 12:00 pm Wednesday we will have our Fifth Grade Walk of Honor. This is our opportunity to show our students how proud we are of them as they get to march through the halls of Nickajack. All family members are invited to join in this bitter sweet celebration. Feel free to bring flowers, balloons and signs for your rising sixth grader. You may want to arrive a bit early in order to secure a good vantage point and a parking spot. 🙂 After the walk we will return to our room. If you would like to check your child out I will have a sign out sheet in the room, younger siblings will need to be checked out from their teacher’s room. Please send a note to each teacher if you will have any transportation changes. I hope to see you all on Wednesday afternoon as we say goodbye to Nickajack and hello to middle school…don’t forget your tissues!
Hello Fifth Grade Parents,
We do not have all the scores in from the April administration of the Georgia Milestones; therefore, the District has informed us we will not do the Retest. Scores for all 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade students will not arrive until this summer. You will receive these scores at the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year.
Bellow is the flyer for our end of school picnic as well as links to sign up to help out and/or donate to the festivities.
We will be having a Kona Ice trunk available for students to purchase treats from. Please be sure to send your child with $3-$6 if possible.
Below is all of the information you and your child will need should a re-test be necessary in order to move on to sixth grade. As of this morning we have not received test results.
