Hello Kinder Family! My name is Raquel Davis and I am SUPER excited to be your Kindergarten teacher this year!
I am an Alabama native! Yay! “War Eagle!…Roll Tide!“
*YES…..I cheer on both teams during football season ….it is often frowned upon by die-hard fans. I’m sure I’m not the only “Auburama” fan in the Universe!*
I grew up in Bay Minette, Alabama; a small town north of Mobile and Gulf Shores. I grew up fishing with my Dad and my siblings(three sisters and one brother) and sipping coffee on the front porch with Mommy and “Granny”. I love my family!
* My fish was tiny BUT I was SUPER proud of it! Don’t worry…we threw him back!*
I graduated from Troy University. I attended the main campus in Troy, Alabama and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I have several years of educational experience. This year will be my sixth year teaching Kindergarten at Teasley. I love teaching, but I also love learning! I am constantly looking for new ideas to bring to the classroom to keep my Kinders engaged and excited about learning.
My son Amari began Kindergarten at Teasley with Mrs. Qualls as his Kindergarten teacher in 2009. He will be a Sophmore at Campbell High School this year! My husband and I started out as parent volunteers and found the overall spirit of Teasley to be UNBELIEVABLE! The Administrators, teachers, support staff and parents all work together seamlessly to ensure student success.
When I am not teaching I love to stay active and spend time outdoors when I can. Hiking, playing tennis, and capturing amazing images with my camera. I also spend long days at track and field events cheering on my son and supporting the Head Coach of our track team; My Hubby. #SmyrnaEliteTrackClub
Kindergarten is such a special year. I am blessed to be part of this journey and to be able to work with you as we prepare your little ones for an INCREDIBLE educational journey.
Let’s make this moment count!
