First Day Under the Belt!

Hi families!

Today was a fabulous day! I loved getting to know each of your children and am delighted that we have such a sweet, diligent class! Here are just a few tid bits from today. 🙂 Normally, I will post once a week on Friday. Also, Nikki folders with daily behavior sheets will start going home tomorrow. Please make sure to sign daily. 🙂

We spent today learning rituals and procedures, learning the formats of our math/reader’s/writer’s workshops, and getting to know one another.

We had our first class meeting and came up with our class motto and what a good, safe classroom looked like, sounded like, and felt like.

We also practiced using our math manipulatives today, discussed how to pick out a “just right” book, and selected our first book from our class library. 🙂
