My name is Isabel Rivera, and I am excited to join the Pitner family! I look forward to getting to know the students, families, my colleagues, and to a wonderful year of teaching and learning!
This is my thirteenth year teaching, and I have taught numerous grade levels from first grade on up to eighth grade. For the past two years, I served in the role as Math Support for grades six through eight, which has enabled me to see how the content and concepts flow from the elementary level to the middle school level.
I hold both a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Management and also a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, as well as a Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy. I am also ESOL certified by the county as well. My mission is to provide an accepting and welcoming atmosphere, where students feel comfortable taking risks in the classroom and where each
student’s culture and learning style is embraced.
My husband, Einar, and I have been married for almost fourteen years and have two, handsome boys. Alejandro is seven, and Enrique is three. I enjoy spending time with my family, running, hiking, gardening, and running my home decor business making wreaths, centerpieces, and other home decor items. I enjoy spending time outdoors and visiting the mountains.
I look forward to learning more about your child and being your child’s teacher!
