August 25

August 26th – 30th

Happy Sunday! This week will began our fourth full week of learning and growing and the students are settling in to our classroom routines quite nicely! This week is also the first Wednesday Early Release Day. We will be on a different schedule this Wednesday, so keep that in mind if you are planning to eat with your kiddo for lunch.

Mrs Bruening and I would like send a huge thank you for all the class donations from our Amazon class list. We are so lucky to have thoughtful parents that would bless our classroom with special items. Thank you also for sending in the field trip forms and money. We have about 95% of our classroom forms turned in, so we are super excited about that as well.

Last thing, graded papers were sent home in the student’s Homework Folder on last Friday 8/23 and grades have been updated. So make sure you take a look at your child’s work and let them know how proud you are of their efforts. If you see a missing/ungraded assignment posted, then typically that means I am in the process of  reteaching and reassessing that particular standard for your child. If you have any questions about assignments, please fill free to contact Mrs. Bruening or myself (Mrs. Henry) and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Here’s what we are learning this week in our classroom.

  • Math: Adding and Subtracting Using the Standard Algorithm

If you are planning on eating lunch with your child on Wednesday, please email me because we will be operating on a different schedule and lunch time for our class may be different.

Also field trip information was sent home last Friday, please complete the forms and return them as soon as possible. The fourth grade team is asking that you send in the t-shirt order by this Friday, August 23rd.
