Thank you, Piedmont Church, for your generous donation to our music program! Not only does Piedmont Church provide a beautiful venue for our Chorus Winter Concert (at the annual “Christmas at Piedmont” event), but they also give donations to each school which participates. We are so honored to have you as a Partner in Education!
Ms. Rownd’s class each built a model to demonstrate that our new melody note is between mi and do. Next time, they will get to find out what it’s called!
It is so much easier to post updates on Twitter, so please be sure to follow me there for more videos of our awesome Patriots!
so why make them? (Ms. Howell’s 1st Grade)
Even on the first day back from Winter Break, this first grader from Ms. Lanier’s class was rip, roaring, and ready-to-go! Students created their own representation of the high-low-high-low melody in the song “Snail, Snail” – but she went a bit further….
The last day of school before Winter Holidays, we will have Pitner’s 1st “Winter Sing-Along”!!! The Pitner Chorus will be performing and some of our faculty will share their talents as well.
We’ll be watching and singing along with these videos in class to prepare us for the big day. If you would like practice at home, here are some videos of the songs we’ll be singing:
Frosty the Snowman
Jingle Bell Rock
This Little Light of Mine
I hope you are making plans to attend PTSA’s “Dinner with Santa” this Friday evening. The Pitner Chorus will be performing from 6:00-6:25 on the cafeteria stage and we would love to see you there!
Ms. Scale’s 4th Grade class – doing a super job with no help from me!
Just a reminder that the Pitner Chorus will be a part of Wildwood Baptist Church’s “Celebration of Veterans” tonight at 7:00. The program will be hosted by Senator Bruce Thompson, and musical guests will feature the Pitner chorus, the Palmer Middle School chorus, the cobb New Horizons Band, and Vintage Mix – a quarter of 16-year-old quadruplets who travel the country singing inspirational and patriotic music.
The program will begin at 7pm and end right around 8pm.
Hope to see you there!
