6th Beginning Band:  Students will be working on exercises 41-49 in their band books. Students will be reinforcing note names and rhythm counting. Please make sure you are seeing and hearing your child practice 20-30 minutes most days of the week and especially on the weekends on their instrument to support their progress.

7th Intermediate Band:  Students will be reviewing band book lines 31-35 and 41-45, F Major warm ups, and a new chorale. They will also working on new concert music in preparation for our Large Group Performance Evaluations in March. Please make sure you are seeing and hearing your child practice 20-30 minutes most nights of the week and especially on the weekends to support their progress.

8th Advanced Band: Students will be reviewing band book lines 97-101 as well as chromatic exercises and a new chorale. They will also working on new concert music in preparation for our Large Group Performance Evaluations in March. Please make sure you are seeing and hearing your child practice 20-30 minutes most nights of the week and especially on the weekends to support their progress.

6th Beginning Band:  Students will be moving on to exercises on page 7 in our band book. This week we are adding a new note and reinforcing whole and half notes and rests. Please make sure you are seeing and hearing your child practice 20-30 minutes most days of the week and especially on the weekends on their instrument to support their progress.

7th Intermediate Band:  Students will use technique and skill-building exercises in the band book beginning with warm up routines from lines 20-22 as well as line 25, 27 (new note), and 28. Please make sure you are seeing and hearing your child practice 20-30 minutes most nights of the week and especially on the weekends to support their progress.

8th Advanced Band: Students will continue technique and skill-building exercises from the band book lines 87, 88, and 89 while also adding chromatic and composition activities. Please make sure you are seeing and hearing your child practice 20-30 minutes most nights of the week and especially on the weekends to support their progress.
