Fall Break has crept up on us, and we’ll finish all our testing before we can have some fun and relaxation! We’ll finish up on Wednesday. The children have done fairly well testing from about 8 a.m. to between 9:30 and 10. That’s a long time to be still, quiet and focused for 3rd graders!
Our thanks goes to families of Finn, Grayson, Ryan, and Kaya for the snacks and post test treats, erasers and pencils! It’s nice to be able to give the children a reward for their hard work and concentration.
In 3rd grade, we will not have spelling and homework this next week. Nightly reading is always required. I am sending home login information for Moby Max. Children may practice their math facts each night. Moby Max will give your child a placement test and have them work at the appropriate level. You are able to see your child’s progress, and I can, too! The children like earning badges and game time.
We are continuing our American Indian Unit, multiplication and division concepts, and narrative writing. This last 2 weeks before the end of the 9 weeks, we’ll be doing various assessments for the report card which will be given to you the week of October 16th at parent/teacher conferences.
Happy birthday, Jonathan!
