Dear Families!

Happy 2018! I hope you all had the kind of break that puts a big smile on your face. If you’re like me, you might just want to get back to normal for a while and get the kids back to school. If only the mornings didn’t come so early!

Thank you all so much for making the holiday so special for the children, and myself. We had a lovely time at our holiday party eating sweets and pizza, making cards and paintings, and playing games. Thank you to the families of Kaya, Emma, Finn, Grayson, Brendz, Tobi and Angela for cooking, buying, gathering, supervising and cleaning. And thank you for making my birthday a very special one with my goodie basket, gift cards, candy, flowers and other such thoughtful gifts!

We’ll use the following 2 days setting learning goals (resolutions :-)), learning about animal adaptations, taking a math pretest and finding unknowns in multiplication and division equasions, brainstorming writing ideas from moments over our breaks, and getting ourselves psyched for reading more good literature!

Report cards go home Friday. Please sign and return the white signature card and the envelope. Email me if you have any questions.

We’ll also announce our AR Queen and King…and our new recognition for the Moby Max Ninja!

Just a reminder of how well a good night’s sleep and a satisfying breakfast and midmorning snack go towards an ideal learning day. Also, please have your child wear a heavy winter coat or lots of layers (hat and gloves, too) on these cold frigid days, or recess may not be an option.

Thanks for all you do!
