As a part of National Nutrition Month, we have set out to remind our students to “Eat the Rainbow”. Eating a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables daily is the best way to achieve that. At Mt Bethel Cafe, we offer fresh fruits and vegetables on the menu every day. From our delicious salad entrees to our fresh, in season fruits, like strawberries, we offer a colorful selection to please every palette.
Here at Mt. Bethel Cafe we are making ready for the new year! Beginning on January 7, 2019, we will offering new items on our weekly menus. Some of these items include Pizza Packs and Lunch Boxes (similar to Lunchables). In addition, we will be offering two new entree salads…the Southwest Salad and the ‘Cobb’ Salad. Also, BBQ Pork with cole slaw is making a come back every other Thursday. Other new items will be featured as well. Please visit the link to our website on this page for more details and a copy of the full menu.
We wish you and your families a wonderful and joy-filled holiday season!

During National Farm to School Month, we will be featuring some seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables. Currently we are serving fresh watermelon and cantaloupe weekly. Very soon we will be serving fresh kale and collard greens — all from local farms in the region.
In addition, during the month of October, we will be celebrating National School Lunch Week with a special menu item being served on Wednesday, October 24th.
Reminder…we are continuing to hold our monthly themed coloring contests. Please submit your entries to the cafeteria manager for a chance to win a pair of movie theater tickets and a Certificate of Recognition from Food and Nutrition Services, Cobb County School District.

Can you believe it? This school year is quickly nearing the end.
I want to take a moment to mention a couple of things as we wrap things up. (1) If your child has an outstanding balance in the cafeteria, will you please make a payment asap? This will help us in clearing our books for the school year. Thank you. And, (2) On the last two days of school (early release), we will be serving hot and cold sack lunches in the lunch room. As we wind down and begin to pack up in the kitchen and receive fewer deliveries, we try to simplify our menus on the last couple of days of school. The children enjoy our picnic style lunches on those days.
We have had a wonderful time this year serving your children and look forward to seeing each of them next year. As we send off our 5th graders and welcome our new kindergartners, we wish everyone a HAPPY SUMMER VACATION!!!
Did you know that here at Mt Bethel we serve an a la carte breakfast each and every morning? It’s a grab-n-go style breakfast with an assortment of items available including (just to name a few) poptarts, nutrigrain or cereal bars, and an assortment of cold cereals with milk. Also, we have a warm entree available a few days a week such as… a breakfast pizza (a whole grain pizza square with turkey sausage and cheese), or a chicken biscuit. In addition, we have yogurt packs and choices of fresh fruit or fruit juice.
So…if you’re short on time in the mornings, we will be happy to feed your children breakfast and lunch at the Mt Bethel Cafe.
Hope you have a wonderful week! Happy Spring!
We celebrate and recognize St Patrick’s Day with a special fruit combination of granny smith apples and white grapes with a dollop of whipped cream.
As part of our “Farm to School” program, we try and feature seasonal and GA/locally grown produce. In the spirit of St Patrick’s Day, we will be serving “rainbow” pot of gold carrot dippers the week of March 12-16, 2018. “Farm to School” allows our students to sometimes try different vegetables and fruits that are locally grown and not commonly on the school menu throughout the year. (See Growers Bio below.)
Also, we will be celebrating March birthdays on Wednesday, March 14th (early release) with our “Happy Birthday” frozen mango fruit cups. And then…we’ll finish out the week on Friday with your choice of Taco Soup with Grill Cheese Sandwich or a Hamburger/Cheeseburger and the “Special of the Day” – Lucky Leprechaun Fruit (green grapes and apples with a dollop of whipped cream on top) – Yum.
Have a great week!
