Mountain View Rocks!

August18

We are excited to announce our service project to spread kindness and joy to our community and beyond!  Welcome to MOUNTAIN VIEW ROCKS!

We have been busy painting our special rocks!  If you and your family would like to make your own rocks to spread around our community and beyond, here are some helpful tips.

Rocks- you can purchase rocks from a hardware store or landscaping business.  You might also find some lying around your yard – remember don’t take rocks from a neighbor’s yard, landscaping in a public area, or a park (rocks add to the beauty of the terrain!)

Paints – acrylic and oil based paint pens work the best.  Paint a base coat on your rock and let it dry.  Use paint pens to add details, pictures, and/or a special message.

Once your rock is dry, on the back of your rock write our email address:  [email protected] with a message that goes something like this “send me a pix of where I go and rehide me!”

You may want to seal your rock with a clear spray sealer (ask an adult to help!).

Next, go out with your family and hide your rocks!  Remember not to hide your rocks in the grass, inside a store, or anywhere that would be dangerous!

Happy painting and hiding!

Genius Jr Opportunity

April17

Hi,

I’m a casting producer for a television production company in Los Angeles.  We’re putting together a new game show for NBC featuring super-smart students, age 8-12.  The show will film this summer and will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.  The students will work in teams to solve logic, math, and critical thinking puzzles while they compete to win an amazing grand prize.  See the attached digital flyer if you’re interested.

Thanks so much!

Tony Schermetzler

Congrats 5th Grade Escape Room attendees!

March22

Congratulations to our 5th grade Target students.  We had an incredible experience at Urban Escapes!  We had two teams actually “escape” their rooms and the other 6 were oooh so close!  Great thinking and team work today!
