Dear Teasley Familes,
February 9-13 is National Random Acts of Kindness Week. We do Random Acts of Kindness when we do beyond what is expected of us and reach out to help or do something nice for another person. All week long we will be doing things that are kind and helpful to others. The possibilities are endless. Also, all week long support staff will be giving stickers that say “ask me how I was caught being kind” to random students and staff members they see doing acts of kindness!! Please encourage your students to show kindness this week and everyday!!
The daily themes are:
Monday is Kindness to Self- Students will sign the No Place For Hate pledge .
Tuesday: Today we are being kind to our family. Students will be given a parent letter and list of suggested Random Acts of Kindness to do this week at home.
Wednesday: Our theme today is “Our Class is Kind”- Kindness in the classroom. Classes will decide how to show kindness as a class.
Thursday: Today we are showing kindness in our community. Students will make valentines cards for children who are being served at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
*****Also, please remind students on Thursday to bring in spare change on Friday to donate to our last day activity-Kindness to the world- We will be collecting money to help build a school in Africa.
Friday: Today will show Kindness to the World and collect money to help build a school in Africa. We will be collecting in the lobby at both campuses.
Thanks for supporting us during this week. Let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas!
