TEASLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GOES VIRAL: ANTI-BULLYING STYLE!!!

Parents and Students,

This upcoming week Mrs. Mungin and Ms. Gooden are holding a contest to see what class can spread the word to end bullying.  They are hoping that with your views and sharing of this video, that Teasley Elementary School’s Anti-Bullying video will go viral!!!

Parents, you are asked along with your child to view and share this video all week long as many times as you like. Every time you and your child view and share this video your child’s class will be entered to win a spectacular Anti-Bullying party of their choice.  Simply put, the class with the most views and shares wins!!!!

Below is the link to the Youtube video of our newest Anti-Bullying video produced by Balancing Acts Entertainment and Sogorillla Films. This video also features students who recently auditioned for a possible role as cast member of this upcoming season of America’s Got Talent.  You will also find below the link to the form that you are asked to use to log your every view and share.  All you will need to do is fill out the form every time you view and share the video and it will automatically log whose class is viewing and sharing the most.

Please read all the info on the link provided to make sure you properly view and share.  Failure to follow the given instructions may hinder your child’s class from winning the grand prize.  We will announce results throughout the week of class standings and announce the winner of the contest on March 2nd.

Two magical words this week, VIEW and SHARE.  For once view and share something a little more positive on social media.

Spread the word to stop and end bullying.  You may end up saving someone’s life!!!!

Dear Teasley Familes,

February 9-13 is National Random Acts of Kindness Week.  We do Random Acts of Kindness when we do beyond what is expected of us and reach out to help or do something nice for another person.  All week long we will be doing things that are kind and helpful to others.  The possibilities are endless.   Also, all week long support staff will be giving stickers that say “ask me how I was caught being kind” to random students and staff members they see doing acts of kindness!!  Please encourage your students to show kindness this week and everyday!!

The daily themes are:

Monday is Kindness to Self- Students will sign the No Place For Hate pledge .

Tuesday:    Today we are being kind to our family.   Students will be given a  parent letter and list of suggested Random Acts of Kindness to do this week at home.

Wednesday:   Our theme today is “Our Class is Kind”- Kindness in the classroom.  Classes will decide how to show kindness as a class.

Thursday:   Today we are showing kindness in our community.   Students will make valentines cards for children who are being served at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

*****Also, please remind students on Thursday to bring in spare change on Friday to donate to our last day activity-Kindness to the world- We will be collecting money to help build a school in Africa.

Friday:   Today will show Kindness to the World and collect money to help build a school in Africa.  We will be collecting in the lobby at both campuses.

Thanks for supporting us during this week.  Let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas!

Thank you to all who supported our 2014 Holiday Hearts Program.  All families were very grateful for the gifts and the kindness of our Teasley family and friends.

Please support our Holiday Hearts!!!!!

Our annual Holiday Hearts program is underway at both campuses!!  The Holiday Hearts program provides gifts for some of  our Teasley families during the holidays.   Please stop by either campus to pick up a heart with a gift item! The hearts are located on the bulletin board across from the cafeteria-MAIN and on the bulletin board next to the cafeteria at PRIMARY.

Here’s how it works:

  1.  You select a heart from the bulletin board.
  2. You sign the clipboard indicating the heart you took.
  3. You purchase and wrap the gift. (PLEASE attach the heart to the gift)
  4. You return the gift to the counselors. Main campus-Mrs. Oliver/ Primary Campus-Mrs. Harris

If you have any questions or concerns please contact Mrs. Oliver-Teasley Main- corinna.oliver@cobb.k12.org or Mrs. Harris-Teasley Primary- sherise.harris@cobbk12.org
