Kid Talk

KiDtalk 2018 is here!

KiDtalk is a competition for Cobb students.  This year we’re asking students to tell us how they’re inspired.  Winners will speak to all Cobb teachers across the district during Learning Kickoff.  All KiDtalk submissions are due by April 13, 2018.  Visit for complete competition details.

We had a great time with our storyteller today, Mama Koku.  Ask your child about her engaging stories and look for pictures on Shutterfly later tonight.

We went to the new Maker Space in the Media Center yesterday.  We had a fantastic time exploring all of the cool tools available.  Looking forward to getting back in there to create some sturdy structures.  Check out pic on Shutterfly later this evening.

Next Week!!!

Next week is National School Counselor Week.  The theme is Reach for the Stars.  Below is a list of the dress up days.  A green note was sent home at the beginning of the week.

Thursday – SPORTS DAY

Student Council will be selling Valentine’s Day candy grams Monday, February 12th to Wednesday, February 14th from 7:20-8:00 in the cafeteria. Each candy gram is $1.00 and can be sent to friends, family, or teachers. Please make sure your child knows the first/last name of who they are sending the candy gram to as well as their homeroom teacher.   Thank you for supporting East Side’s Student Council!

THANK YOU so much for making Teacher Appreciation so fantastic!!!!  The gift basket today is simply amazing!!!!  You are the best!!!

Thank You!!!!

Thank you so much for all of the gifts for our classroom.  I truly appreciate your generosity and everything you do to support our class.

Fancy Nancy Author Visit

Jane O’Connor, author of the Fancy Nancy series, will be visiting East Side Elementary.  We are encouraging everyone to dress in their “fancy” clothes so that she will feel “at home”.   I can’t wait to see everyone!!!

Field Trip Tomorrow

Please wear your class t-shirts tomorrow. This will help us keep track of our students easier! Students should also wear tennis shoes and a coat depending on the weather. Also, don’t forget to bring a lunch from home or you can buy a sack lunch from the cafeteria. We will not eat lunch until we return to school around 1:00 P.M. It is important that everyone brings a snack to eat before we load on the buses at 9:45 A.M.

THANK YOU!!!  I really appreciate the roses yesterday and lunch today!  I am so fortunate to have such a fantastic class!!
