About Mrs. Franco

Hello 3rd graders and parents! I am Peyton Franco, your child’s teacher this year.

I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  My husband, Joey,  and I moved here in 2011 from Alabama.  We have one son, Will, who is 6 and is beginning 1st grade this year!  We can’t imagine life without him! We also have 2 dogs, Pippi and Tilly, that think they are humans. We love spoiling them rotten!!

I received my Bachelor’s degree in 2000 from the University of Alabama and received my Master’s in 2002. I eat, sleep, and breathe ALABAMA FOOTBALL!!!  My husband is an Auburn fan so that makes Iron Bowl weekend very interesting!  ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!

This will be my 18th year of teaching, 8th year at Pickett’s Mill, and my second year in third grade. I have had some pretty amazing teaching experiences during my 18 years.  I taught special needs preschool in Fort Worth, Texas and Austin, Texas.  When I moved back to Alabama I taught in Baldwin County as a self-contained special education teacher and as a kindergarten teacher.  My husband and I moved to Enterprise, Alabama after our 2009 wedding.  I taught first grade there until we moved to Georgia in 2011.  While at Pickett’s Mill, I have been the small group teacher and co taught 1st and 2nd grade with Mrs. Hilliard. I love being a part of the Pickett’s Mill team!!  We have an amazing school with some AWESOME teachers! I have always had a passion for teaching and I am extremely excited about this year!!
