Reading: We are learning how to infer the author’s opinion in an informational text. We will use text evidence to back up our inferences.
Writing: We will continue to work on developing our opinion writing pieces by writing reasons to support our opinion.
Language: Our language focus for this week is on punctuating titles of works.
Math- We are continuing to talk about 2-dimensional and 3D objects. Students will learn about how to solve volume with manipulatives/word problems/and by using the formula!
Science- We are wrapping up our unit on cells. Cell test Tuesday, February 6th.
SS- We will be learning about World War I and World War II.
Frey is joining 32,000 schools nation-wide to host a Jump Rope for Heart event. Through Jump Rope For Heart kids learn jump rope skills, how their heart works and raise money to help kids with special hearts.
Students will have fun, learn how to stay healthy and make a difference in the lives of others! Money raised during this event goes directly to the American Heart Association and funds are used to help kids across the nation that are born with heart-related illnesses.
Registration and donation information has been sent home with students. You can register your student on-line at heart.org/jump. No money is to be sent to school until the day of the event.
